Athletic Club of Overland Park Provides Gym Memberships for Storm Players |
The Athletic Club of Overland Park is a premier facility in our area boasting a large weight room with free weights and
circuits, cardio theatre, indoor track, pool, gymnasium, aerobic studios and gender separate saunas, jacuzzis and steam
rooms. KC Storm players are being provided four month memberships to the facility and will practice and work out
there as a team, two days a week from November through February. "We wanted to support the players with a quality
facility to help them prepare for the season individually and as a team. The partnership we've established with the
Athletic Club of OP allows us to do so, without cost to the players. The full size gymnasium allows us to conduct drills
and run plays. We're also going to take advantage of the classes offered and, of course, the amenities of the facility."

| New Head Coach Announced The Kansas City Storm front office is pleased to announce that Coach Oliver Hester has assumed head coach responsibilities for 2010. Hester is entering his 10th season in football. He has coached with several area teams in the North American Football League, American Professional Football League, and the National Indoor Football League which includes a stint as the head coach of the Kansas and St. Joseph Storm. He has won a division championship with the Kansas City Panthers in 2001 and two APFL championships with the Kansas Koyotes in 2007 and 2008. Oliver also serves as a coach with the Lawrence Lightning youth football team. Oliver is currently married to his wife Paula and has two children Aaron and Marcus. The Storm is very excited to have such an experienced coach at the helm in 2010 and look forward to winning our second championship in 2010! |
