Dear WSRFDVFFT & SFCST Volunteers,
Thank you so much for volunteering at SAFEHOME’s Will Shields
Red Flags of Domestic Violence Flag Football Tournament and
the Shields Family Children’s Soccer Tournament last Saturday!
From the very first volunteers who arrived to help with registration
to the very last volunteers who trudged the fields picking up litter,
stray belts, bottles, and referee packets, each one of you helped
the tournament run successfully! This marked the first time in 8
years that we’ve had enough volunteers to cover ALL the areas
that need them!! Several teams already wrote that they had a
great time, felt welcomed, and marveled at how smoothly the
tournament ran! You all made that happen!!!
However, in addition to two great tournaments with perfect
weather, you helped raise much needed funds for SAFEHOME.
In these precarious economic times, the monies will help the
agency continue providing quality services to women and children
in dire need of them.
Thank you for your dedication to our agency, our mission, and
most importantly, caring about the victims of domestic violence
who we serve.
