Storm Players Sport New Uniforms in 2008
Storm players will be sporting new uniforms in 2008 as they kick off their
fourth season. Storm President Nance Wernes is excited about the
change. "After three years, we were ready for an upgrade. We all love
the Storm navy blue but thought the home uniforms needed more accents.
A company was found, Defend Her Sports, that had patterns for football
uniforms that had been modified for females, so they fit the players much
better. In addition, TV numbers were added to the top of the shoulders.
NFL teams have added these numbers recently as a way to help
announcers identify players more easily on the field. That was important
in our case also. The players work so hard in practice and during the
games, that we want the ability to recognize them quickly and accurately
for their family and friends in the stands."
Sher Sprewell (modeling the new home jersey at right) applauds the more
NFL-like uniforms. "They fit great and look awesome!"
Players
Recruiting is underway now for the 2008 Storm Season. If you would
like to play or refer a player to the Storm, please fill out a Contact Us
form and a Storm representative will contact you. You must be 18 years
old and have or be able to secure medical insurance.
Our practice and game schedule for the 2008 Season:
Before games start:
Practice: Saturdays and Sundays 4-6pm and Wednesdays 7-9pm.
After games have started:
Practice: Mondays and Wednesdays 7-9pm.
Regular Season Games:
April 19 - June 21 - Saturdays 7:00pm
