David Porter
     Head Coach
David Porter is the Head Coach of the 2008 Kansas City Storm.  
David grew up in Sunrise Beach, Missouri on Lake of the Ozarks
and has been involved in sports from the age of 7.  As a senior at
Camdenton High School, David earned 4A Football All-State honors
at center, Football All-District honors at place kicker as well as
Baseball All-District honors at catcher.  David played football and
baseball collegiately at William Jewell College.  While at William
Jewell, David participated in two football tours of Europe and played
against teams in Finland, Germany, France and Switzerland.  After
he finished playing football at William Jewell, David was an
assistant on the football coaching staff at William Jewell.  

David attended the University of Notre Dame Law School where, in
addition to his legal studies, he coached a full contact inter-hall
football team for two years with a law school classmate.  He
concluded his coaching at Notre Dame with his inter-hall team
playing for the Notre Dame inter-hall championship in Rockne
Stadium, home of the Fighting Irish.

Professionally, David has been practicing law for nearly two decades
and has spent time both in private practice and as Assistant General
Counsel to a large healthcare system.  In addition to his work with
the Storm and his law practice, David is an adjunct professor at
Webster University.  David lives in Kansas City with his wife, Lydia.
