Coaching Staff:

Head Coach:                                Dan Ascheman

Dan is an administrator at Penn Valley Community College and
life long football player and fan.  Before joining the Storm, he
coached men's (KC Jazz) and women's (KC Krunch) semi pro
football in the Kansas City area including holding the head coach
position for the Kansas Kaos men's team.

Defensive Coordinator:                 Trent Bryant

The Storm's defense is lead by defensive coordinator Trent
Bryant.  Coach Bryant brings a wealth of experience to the team
having played at the University of Arkansas under Lou Holtz, in
the USFL and four years in the NFL.  Trent ended his career with
the Kansas City Chiefs and has made his home here.  He now
works in printing and enjoys spending time with his wife and
children.

Conditioning/Defense:                   Barrett "B" Walker

Barnet Walker, Coach "B", was a collegiate basketball player
before catching the eye of Dallas Cowboy scouts.  He was
invited to
Cowboys camp after college and made the team.  He leads the
Storm's conditioning program and is a defensive assistant.

Defensive Assistant:                      Todd Baune

Coach Baune is a staple in the Kansas City men's semi pro
football community.  He has played many years and contributes
on and off the field to the team's preparations.  Currently, he
plays for the Kansas City Panthers under Jimmie Ross.  He
recently traveled to Atlanta to participate in the 2008 All Star
game.  Coach Baune owns and runs his own construction
company.  

Offensive Assistant:                      Chris Hines  

Coach Hines returns for another season with the Kansas City
Storm.  He will work with the offense and will break down game
film for the team.  Chris lives in Lawrence and works in the auto
industry.

Offensive Assistant:                      Chris Pine   

Coach Pine is a high school football coach at William Chrisman
High School in Independence.  He has also coached at youth
camps under Herm Edwards, the head coach of the Kansas City
Chiefs.

Offensive Assistant:                             Stacy Vantassel

Coach Vantassel brings years of playing experience to the
women of the Storm and is very excited about sharing his
knowledge and experience.  He is married and will help prepare
the offense for the 2009 campaign!
